Relic Hunter is a mobile application for metal detector enthusiasts that provides GPS pin dropping, find cataloging, AI-powered artifact identification, topographic map overlays, and community features. The app is operated by Relic Hunter ("we", "us", or "our"), based in Ohio, United States.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Relic Hunter. You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in the marketplace feature. By using the app, you confirm that you meet these age requirements.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our sole discretion, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.
By using Relic Hunter you agree to use the app lawfully and responsibly. You agree NOT to:
We may restrict or terminate your access to the app if you violate these rules. For serious violations, access may be terminated immediately without notice. For other violations, we will endeavor to provide 7 days' notice before restricting access.
The AI-powered find identification feature is provided as a general guide only. Identifications may be inaccurate and should not be relied upon for legal, insurance, financial, or archaeological purposes. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy of AI identifications.
Free accounts may use AI identification up to 5 times per month. Pro subscribers receive unlimited AI identifications. These limits may change with notice.
Relic Hunter offers a free tier and a Pro subscription tier.
The Pro subscription is an open-ended, auto-renewing subscription charged monthly at $4.99/month (or as otherwise displayed in the app). Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
All payments are processed by third-party payment processors including Stripe and RevenueCat. We do not store your payment card information. By subscribing you agree to their respective terms of service.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Pro subscription after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from a digital service contract within 14 days of purchase. However, by starting to use the Pro subscription immediately, you expressly consent to the service beginning before the withdrawal period ends and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed.
You retain ownership of all content you upload to Relic Hunter, including photos, find descriptions, and map pins. By uploading content you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of operating the app and providing the service to you.
You are solely responsible for the content you upload. You warrant that you have the right to upload any content you post and that it does not infringe any third party's rights.
Content on Relic Hunter may be private (visible only to you), friends-only, or public (visible to all users) depending on your settings. You can change the visibility of your content at any time in the app.
The Relic Hunter marketplace allows users to buy and sell relics and artifacts between themselves. Relic Hunter is a platform only and is not a party to any transaction between users. We make no warranties regarding the condition, authenticity, legality, or value of any items listed.
Users must be 18 or older to participate in the marketplace. You are responsible for ensuring that any items you list or purchase are legal to sell and buy in your jurisdiction. You must not list protected artifacts, illegally obtained items, or items whose sale is prohibited by law.
Transactions must be conducted through the app. Taking transactions outside the platform is prohibited.
All rights reserved. The Relic Hunter app, including its design, code, branding, logos, and original content, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.
Your use of Relic Hunter is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the app you consent to our collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
We aim to keep Relic Hunter available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages. Where possible we will provide at least 7 days' notice of planned service interruptions. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service unavailability.
We may modify, update, or discontinue features of Relic Hunter at any time. For significant changes that affect your subscription, we will provide at least 30 days' notice. You may terminate your subscription within 30 days of receiving notice of a modification if you do not wish to continue under the modified terms.
Relic Hunter is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements. We disclaim all warranties including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Note: Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties. In such jurisdictions, the above exclusions apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Relic Hunter shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Note: Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Relic Hunter and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the app, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any applicable law.
If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us first at privacy@relichunterapp.com. We will endeavor to respond within 5 business days and resolve disputes amicably.
If we cannot resolve a dispute informally within 30 days, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Ohio, United States, rather than in court, except that you may bring claims in small claims court if they qualify.
Class action waiver: You agree to resolve disputes individually and not as part of a class action or representative proceeding.
EU/UK/EEA consumers: Nothing in this section affects your right to bring disputes before the courts of your country of residence or to use applicable alternative dispute resolution schemes available in your jurisdiction.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes not subject to arbitration shall be resolved in the courts of Ohio.
EU/UK/EEA/Switzerland/Norway/Iceland consumers: The above does not affect your rights under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
Brazilian consumers: The above does not affect your rights under Brazilian consumer protection law.
Australian consumers: Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at privacy@relichunterapp.com. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these terms. If you have an active paid subscription, you should cancel it before closing your account.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
These Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Relic Hunter regarding your use of the app and supersede all prior agreements.
